IT’S time to give some credit to our sporting stars.
The Reporter Series Sports Awards gives you the chance to nominate your favourite sports player or team of the year.

Use the nomination form to select your choice for any of the categories by the closing date of Friday September 19 2008.
Do you know of anyone whose sporting efforts are outstanding?
Are there any juniors or people whohave not let physical disability stand in their way whose efforts are worthy of community recognition?

If so, we want to hear about them.

You can nominate in as many categories as you like. All nominees must participate in sports within the circulation areas of our six papers – the Batley News, Dewsbury Reporter, Spenborough Guardian, Birstall News, Heckmondwike Herald and Mirfield Reporter.

The winners will be revealed at a glittering awards evening at the Frontier in Batley on Monday, November 24.
This is a unique chance to give our sporting heroes the recognition they deserve right across North Kirklees.
