We are a Public House based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. We have rooms available for hire for contract workers currently based within the West Yorkshire area. We currently have six rooms available for hire ranging from single beds to triple rooms. All prices are based per person however large discounts are provided for shared rooms. We offer a variety of entertainment throughout the week and also at weekends. We provide food throughout the day including a specialised Carvery, not to mention fantastic Sunday Dinners with all the trimmings. We cater for all those wanting to watch the big sports events with our three big screens showing a variety of games and features. Entertainment is provided through the week, including Curly Col Resident entertainment on Saturdays. We also have a new outside sheltered smoking area.

Our food is second to none.
We use the same head chef as our sister pub The Rustic Arms and don't believe in packaged meals that need re-heating in the microwaved. Served throughout the week between 12.00pm and 19.00pm, We provide freshly cooked meals and a fantastic Carvery, and all with a local authority 4 star rating.
The Carvery is open Monday to Friday and Sundays, and consists of two meats, either Beef, Pork or Turkey. All of the trimmings are included in the Carvery not to mention Yorkshire Puddings and lashings of Gravy. All for only £5.95 per person through the week and £6.95 on Sundays.


If you are feeling really hungry why not try the Tavern mega mix grill, weighing in at an amazing 32 ounces of meat this is not a meal for the faint hearted!

We offer a variety of entertainment throughout the week and at weekends.
Saturday nights see the Curly Col Extravaganza!! Covering everything from the 1950’s to the present day including Karaoke for the more mature fans of the music scene. Come down and join in from 7pm ‘til late. (already been? perhaps your on the wall of fame already?)


Sunday evening is Quiz night followed by Bingo, Try your luck with our two part quiz, with a picture round as well as a general knowledge round, your sure to know some of the answers and you might even win the prize of eight free pints.

The quiz starts at 8pm and the bingo around 9.30 so don’t be late.

Both evenings often have free snacks provided
