IF you’ve never been to the Cinnamon Lounge before, prepare yourself for a big surprise from the moment you step inside this most stylish of Indian restaurants.

Behind the plain exterior of the building, on Bridge Road at Horbury Bridge, is a stunning contemporary setting in which to enjoy some equally impressive food

Crisp white tablecloths, high-backed leather chairs and chrome fittings characterise the dining area, which seats 120 people, while water features, ceiling spotlights and a stylish aluminium bar are real eye-catchers, too.

It all reflects the determination of owner Sam Miah and his staff to create a memorable experience for visitors to the Cinnamon Lounge, which opened late last year to complement their existing restaurant at Flockton Moor.

The Horbury restaurant has already built up a loyal following, including former Yorkshire and England cricketer Darren Gough – a man known for his love of a good curry – who is a regular both there and at Flockton Moor.

Of course, the key to a successful restaurant is the quality of the food, and this is another way in which everyone at the Cinnamon Lounge goes that extra mile to excel.

Whether it’s one of the famous classic curries, a balti or tandoori dish, seafood, something from the vegetable selection or one of Sam’s traditional homestyle specialties, there’s something on the menu to satisfy the most demanding of customers.

If the menu is impressive, so is the wine list with a wide range of reds and whites to choose from, plus sparkling wines and champagnes – including rare Dom Perignon and Krug vintages.

Many of the dishes on the restaurant menu are available to take away, while the restaurant is available for private parties on midweek evenings. Outside catering can also be provided.

The Cinnamon Lounge is open from 5.30pm to 11pm Mondays to Saturdays and 3pm to 10.30pm on Sundays.
