Police Officers along with the West Yorkshire Fire Service attended a house fire at an address in Pontefract. An elderly couple had a lucky escape; local Fire Officers took the elderly people from their home with minor injuries. It seems that the cause of the fire could well have been an electric blanket. We cannot stress enough to make sure that the blankets are serviced frequently and kept in good condition.
