Rules

1 The competition is open to everyone living within our circulation area and for those who provide coaching or administration for teams or individuals who reside within our circulation area.

2 Any nominee must be considered an amateur within their organisation and sports governing body.

3 Teams or individuals nominated must be affiliated to a sports governing body or a recognised association or organisation which promotes a sport.

4 Nominations shall be considered for achievements between Jachievements between September 1 2007 and September 19 2008.

5 Junior awards will be for uunder 18-year-olds as of September 19 2008.

6 Senior awards will be for over 18-year-olds as of September 19 2008.

7 Nominations for the lifetime achievement award will be considered for anyone with more than 10 years’ dedication to a sporting club, body or organisation.

8 Reasons for nominations must be in writing and submitted with the sports awards nomination form.

9 Applications will only be considered if they are sent to the correct address and received by the organisers prior to 4pm on the closing date (September 19th 2008).

10 Nominators must seek permission from the nominee before submitting the nomination form.

11 Applications will be judged by the appointed panel.

12 The panel’s decision on all matters arising will be final.

13 Only category winners and runners-up will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at the Frontier.

14 Finalists will be expected to participate in publicity for the event.

15 The organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
