The Observer and Advertiser is gathering support for our campaign to honour one of our most famous local sons - Ernie Wise.
As one half of the most loved comedy duo the country has ever seen Ernie held a special place in the hearts of the British public and as such we believe that he should be honoured by his home town.
Messages of support have come in from Morecambe to New Zealand and the campaign is going from strength to strength.
