The aim of the campaign

1. To hold a Wakefield book day - where events are organised across the city for all to celebrate the love of reading on the same day. Some schools have already pledged their support but we want more to follow suit.

2. A short story competition for children and teenagers- resulting in a published anthology to be sold across Wakefield.

3. To raise £10,000 to provide reading workbooks and texts for primary school leavers.
