Wakefield's new £4 million bus station is situated on Union Street embodies Arriva's commitment to boost passenger transport. The station, which was jointly funded by Arriva Yorkshire, West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, and the European Union officially opened on Monday, 1 October 2001

Mon-Sat: 4.30am to 11.30m
Sun: 6.00am to 11.30pm
Central passenger concourse with 24 ‘Drive In Reverse Out’ stands. Travel centre which sells bus passes and tickets as well as, timetables
Customer seating areas, anti-slip floor on the concourse
Newsagents, Café, Toilets,Baby Change Room, Travel Centre, Public Telephones. Yorkshire Bank cash machine.
24 hour CCTV security system
Speaking information points for hard of hearing or partially sighted customers. The station has a no smoking policy. It is also an alcohol free site.
