1. The competition is open to applicants over 13 years of age. - For applicants under 16 years of age - we need a letter from a parent/guardian for their consent and agreement to the rules. We will contact the parents/guardians by phone for their agreement too.

2. Only one song entry will be accepted per person.

3. Competition is open to non-professionals only.

4. UK residents only.

5. Entrants must be available to attend the final on Monday 27th August.

6. By entering this competition and submitting an entry, you automatically give YWNG permission to publish the material on our websites and in paper.

7. Tracks to be no more than five minutes long.

8. In the event of more than one finalist having the same song, you may be asked to sing an alternative.

9. Entrants must supply an up to date photograph of themselves with their entry.

10. Finalists will be notified by phone on 13th August and would need to be available for an interview between the dates of the 14th - 20th August.

11. Entries will be accepted in the following formats: · Song - via email or CD in MP3 format. · Photograph - Jpeg via email or hard copy to scan.

12. The closing date for all entries is Sunday 22nd July.

13. The Judges decision is final.

14. This is an online competition only.

15. YWNG will publish online a shortlist of the best entries and it is then up to the public to vote for their final ten.
